My name is Mrs. Brill and I teach First Grade. There is a lot to learn in this formative grade, and it is my goal to guide your young scholar toward a love of learning. In Room 8, we learn how to ask questions, take risks, and learn from our mistakes.
Our class rules are simple: be a good listener, keep your hands and feet to yourself, and take responsibility for your learning. Learning is hard; I am here to guide my students to try their best. In Room 8, we come to school with an awake-mind, an open-heart, and an expectation for good things!
About the teacher:
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, and my Teaching Credential from San Diego State University, where I did my student teaching at Carson. I fell in love with the community, the school, and the students that I decided to make Carson my home. I enjoy learning new things, and I hope to pursue my Masters in Education and Administrative credential in the future.
When I am not teaching, I am a wife, mama to a toddler, and a cat-mom. I enjoy trying new recipes and a hot cup of coffee.
